The feature film “The War with Grandpa” will begin shooting in early May, 2017 and is now casting very featured roles as well as stand-ins and photo-doubles for the starring actors.
“The War with Grandpa” is based on the award winning children’s book of the same name by Robert Kimmel Smith. The film centers on a young man who loves his grandfather, but also loves his bedroom. When grandpa’s wife dies, he moves in. His bad leg means he can’t stay in the attic bedroom, so guess who gives up his beloved bedroom? The young man engages in a series of pranks meant to drive out grandpa, but the old man is pretty resourceful in returning each salvo.
Starring in “The War with Grandpa” is two-time Academy Award winner Robert De Niro as Ed; Academy Award winner Christopher Walken as Jerry; Academy Award nominee Uma Thurman as Sally; Kids’ Choice Awards nominee Laura Marano as Mia; Primetime Emmy Award nominee Rob Riggle as Arthur; and Joey Award winner T.J. McGibbon as Emma.
Annie Awards winner Tim Hill is directing “The War with Grandpa” from an adapted screenplay written by Daytime Emmy Awards winner Tom Astle, Lisa Addario, and Matt Ember. Producers are Young Artist Award winner Phillip Glasser, Marvin Peart, and Rosa Morris Peart. Executive producers are Christopher Awards winner Jane Rosenthal, Tre Peart, Bryant Pike, and Berry Welsh.
“The War with Grandpa” is scheduled to hit theaters on October 21, 2017.

The feature film “The War with Grandpa” is currently casting the roles below. To be considered, you must have legal eligibility to work on film productions in Atlanta, GA and in the United States. That information can be downloaded from the following Actors Resource Guide available here. There is no experience necessary, and these are paid positions. You MUST be available to work in the Atlanta, GA area where filming is taking place. Travel and accommodations to the Atlanta area is not provided. Shooting will begin in early May, 2017 and will run through late June, 2017.
