The Fox 2000 feature film “The Impossible” is casting non-union extras 16 years of age and older to work on April 19, and possibly April 18 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The film is a true story based on Joyce Smith’s book “The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother’s Faith and Her Child’s Resurrection.” Smith wrote the book about her 14-year-old son John coming back to life through her prayer and faith, even though his heart had stopped after he fell through a frozen lake in Missouri.
“The Impossible” stars two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Chrissy Metz as Joyce Smith, Marcel Ruiz as John Smith, Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Josh Lucas as John’s father, and Daytime Emmy Awards winner Topher Grace as Pastor Jason Noble. Image Awards nominee Roxann Dawson is directing from a script by Satellite Awards nominee Grant Nieporte. Shamess Shute is 1st AD, with Puneet Chawla serving as 2nd AD.
